I want to coin a phrase. And, I think, I want credit for it. That's going to require writing it down and publishing it so this place is as good as any.
In the age of e-mail, the art of letter writing has suffered. As has the act. Who writes home anymore? Even my mother sends e-mail. Heck, Mom and I instant message. So the phrase "it was nothing to write home about" seems a bit obsolete. On the phone the other day (mobile, of course) I was answering a question about an event and what fell out of my mouth seems much more (tech) age-appropriate:
"It was nothing to blog about."
Oh yeah, when we hit Y2K and entered into a new decade, I wanted credit for referring to the 00's as the "naughts." And referring to anything pertaining to the 01-09 years as "naughty."
I'm just sayin'.
