Okay kids: Get out there and enjoy another jam-packed October weekend in the City.

On the calendar this weekend:

Fleet Week! Eat your spinach and feel up those Popeye forearms. Sailors proudly wear their uniforms as they cruise the town looking for a little whore shore leave. Except in the Castro. The sexy sailors are out in (muscled-armed) forces, just a little more on the sly with that whole DADT nonsense. But they are easy to make out. And easy to make out with.

Castro Street Fair! The Web site for this event is beyond lame, so I won't even bother linking. But there are good booths, some good shopping, several stages with quality entertainment, amazing weather, and of course, a large outdoor country/western dance floor behind the Castro theater, courtesy of the Sundance Saloon Association.
