From local poet Mark Doty, his story of a nearly-could-have-been-really-violent but still menacing and intimating anti-gay incident in North Beach Friday evening.
He doesn't mention the final restaurant whose owner verbals assaulted and physically intimidated them though, but I will try to find out. And considering their tacit or friendly participation in the attack, I won't be supporting Caffe Macaroni either, and will recommend that all locals and visitors to avoid that too.
Update: The thug who threatened this couple owns both Caffe Macaroni and the smnaller café where try tried to escape and were ultimately cornered, Caffe Macaroni Sciue Sciue.
It's time to boycott both.
