Google street view

Crazy. I heard that Google added a "street view" to its GoogleMaps, but I thought it would be some sort of CGI extrapolation. I've seen a version that extracts 3-D polygons of buildings around a location.

Nope. Actual 360-degree VR photos of streets and intersections. I can see my apartment building and front door from the Google map of my interseaction.

This feature is not available in all areas, and so far I've only seen it appear on maps of San Francisco and New York, but still--it's very, very cool.

Go waste some time and check it out.
