Via Towleroad and JoeMyGod, the Comic-Con goers have a fun time laughing the Phelps "Got Hates Fags" folks out of town.
I love that the Westboro Baptist Church "protest" practice has become its own meme for competitive satire. Now it's all about who can make the more clever/ridiculous sign, using mockery of bigotry to favor freedom and equality. My favorites in this clip are "Is this thing on?" and "Have you seen my keys?" Comic/geek awesomeness shows up in "Odin is God," which does reasonably pre-date that whole Christianist thing, and "Hallo, My name is Inigo Montonya. You killed my father. Prepare to die."
Maybe racism and homophobia really is a boggart. Laughing at it defeats its power.
