and it's only the first lap

The SEASON of San Franciscan events gets a warm up with Dore, but really begins with Folsom. And then we freaking sprint through New Year's. The first big weekend has passed, and if you were bored you were not paying attention.

This past weekend alone:

• SF Giants Playoff game
• 49ers game
• Fleet Week
• Burning Man: Decompression
• Italian Heritage Fair (Little Italy, North Beach)
• Castro Street Fair
• Hardly Strictly Bluegrass
• and the America's Cup regattas

All told well over 1.1 million people came into town this weekend.  And that's just week one.
