wet and mild

Thanks to Fun Joe for pulling together some boys and bears for an afternoon up where it's actually hot, and a nice "day at the pool" at WaterWorld in Concord. On the way up, I realized that I don't think I have ever been to a water park before. There was the "the wave pool" (Wave Country) in Nashville out towards Opryland in the 70s, but I'm not sure that counts.

Other than the fact that the Wave Pool had serious waves and swells! The wave pool at Waterworld is pretty much like a pond with ripples. But it was a great day of warmth, sunshine, good company, and eye candy. And wow, with my shirt off I am paler than snowstorm. And the experience was sufficient to send me back to the gym for the next day and send me off carbs for nearly a week.

But it was also enough fun to prompt the rest of us to get season passes too. And I hear there is a Bear Day at Waterworld.
