From a conversation with RMJ about someone we know who violently alternates behavior between socially pretentious and batshit crazy—

RMJ: There he was at the benefit, managing the crowd perfectly with sublime protocol. And you know how I respect that. And he was so kind to me and offered to take me for champagne to celebrate my new position, and all I could think of was "Don't you remember the last time we met, and your violent, crazy episode? And all the crap you pulled on PAD? And Wilson? And the guy I had a date with the next night who knew who you were by only a sketch of your sketchy behavior?" That guy just has too many personalities for me to deal with.

Me: Maybe he doesn't know he's crazy? Next time he pulls that Jekyll and Hyde crap on me I'm going to have to ask him "Don't your personalities ever talk to each other?"
