fall collection

One of the highlights of my recent trip to Nashville that I neglected to mention was that being in Tennessee in early November granted me a rare site for this San Francisco boy: autumn leaves.

Living in The City, I no longer get to see the leaves change. Even in Golden Gate Park, there are few deciduous trees. Palms are largely non-native to northern California, but most of the urban landscaping around the city features this tropical evergreen.

I wanted to snap a couple of nice shots before I left town, but the summer freeze/drought combination left little foliage to film in Nashville. One of the colorful bunches of leaves I found was caught in the windshield well of my father's car.


I call it the "Fall Collection."
