From now on, no one on television, and Dear God especially not in commercials, is allowed to say dramatically "Let's do this." or the even more painful "Let's do this thing."
And please, don't say it in the office or before launching into any sporting activity.
It just smacks of some desperate need to sound like you're in charge. Its time has passed.
I'm reminded of Roger on American Dad when he warned, "Like every sit-com character said in the early 90s, and everyone in the mid-west through the rest of the 90s, don't go there."

Thanks to the internet (especially message boards) the lifespan of such phrases is now measured in hours, rather than weeks (or, way back when I was a kid, months?). Some of the time, the expressions are clever or pithy the first time they are used... but wow, do they wear thin.
And don't get me started on message boards in general. What passes for clever there just amazes me.
