A Davidson Man

may need no introduction, but he does enjoy the press clippings.

Update: As of Tuesday, Davidson is still very much in the news:

-Another story at ESPN (this one by a Davidson alumna): Where exactly is Davidson? In the Sweet 16, that's where

* The St. Petersburg Times/TampaBay.com (Where brother and fellow alumnus Mac is right now) has my favorite piece yet: Davidson took long road to sudden fame

-New York Daily News: Davidson goes Wild for its upstart 'Cats as well this sidebar on Coach McKillop

And of course all of the local North Carolina papers are all over it. The about the quality of used toilet paper local rag The Charlotte Observer, which has always been noted for lack of actual journalism or integrity, and has historically taken any and every opportunity to smear nearby Davidson College and all of its "fancy book learnin'," has finally started covering Davidson's recent success. Their slant? Wildcats suddenly media darlings. Bitter much? I imagine the word "tarnation" was used in their newsroom when respected media started publishing positive things about the Cats.

And for fellow Davidson alumni, this might amuse you.

This post is an update to this one.
