I've loved local vlogger, writer, activist, and cool guy Matt Baume's posts and video breakdowns of what the haters and liars are up to when they try to crush marriage equality efforts in the United States. He is particularly skilled in dissecting the misrepresentations, obfuscations, misdirections and outright falsehoods of the National Organization for Marriage (NOM) ads and campaigns. It looks like he's dedicated a healthy chunk of his time to bring us well-produced and thoughtful weekly updates in the not only California and it's ongoing battle with Prop 8, but marriage equality efforts and the NOM's dishonesty nationwide.
This week in Prop 8: The battle in Maryland and the new NOM tactic of using race as a wedge issue against gays.
As long as I am give praise where it is due, much love to Rob Tisinai who also creates thoughtful and well-researched dissections of the anti-equality crowd in his blog Waking Up Now. I met Rob years ago at one of the Sundance Stompedes and he could not have been a more marvelous person. I hope he and Matt have connected.
