In addition to non-profit outreach and whipping people, Tony Koester also does stand up. A while back he asked if I would design his posters and flyers, and I said sure, as long as he got it to me by the Saturday before Thanksgiving as that was the only time I could work him into my design schedule.
He sent me the materials in Sunday afternoon, but my other major projects were due end of the day. I had zero time to give him, but I'm the only graphic designer friend he's got (which astounds me considering the popularity of Mr. Leather/SF Daddy/Sister Gladys). I also knew I could do in an hour what would take him all day, so I agreed to work him in and make just the e-mail flyer. It's not my best work, but I gave it what time I had, and it gets the information across.
So if you are looking for some funny, head out to the Deco Lounge this Friday night!
