Warmly welcomed back home. Cough is gone, but so is my voice.
It's easy enough to explain that "I lost my voice" as it seems so have others. However, I do get the occasional "How did you do that?" which to me seems sort of odd.
I've been saying things along the lines of "I was supposed to leave my heart in San Francisco but got confused/left my voice instead." or "I sold it to the sea witch to get legs."
