To all family and straight friends reading this blog. THIS is why marriage equality is important.
It's not "gay marriage," it's just "marriage." As long as the state governs marriage, there are no valid religious arguments to support denying same-sex couples access to a legal state of marriage.
Using this case in point, I'd go far to say that advocating against marriage equality makes for a very bad Christian.
