While I was in Nashville to see the family and attend ArtRageous (posts and photos to follow when I get a block of time), Shilpa, PeeDee and Mali drove down to L.A. to celebrate Mali's birthday with a Janet Jackson flash mob/flash dance. Okay, it technically wasn't a "flash mob" but rather a "marketing event." Even though it was advertised well in advance, it was billed as flash dance, and while corporately sponsored was still pretty much fan-fueled.
Folks were able to learn choreography online and attend a rehearsal in L.A. before appearing at three spots and spontaneously breaking into dance, then dispersing (in the style of Improv Everywhere, who inspired Searching for Maria).
