welcome to the trailer park

Our lovable Mr. Grinstead became an American citizen on Saturday (he is now officially an African American). To celebrate, his lovely newlywed wife Lindsay threw him a surprise white trash party. She had a frosted mullet wig and stained t-shirt ready for him. They took many more photos, but I've got a few good ones.


Lance and Greg were there too, of course, and our hosts Ivar and Nancy (Nance in Her Pants) were just made of the awesome.

There was PBR, Natural Light, and Kool Ade "punch." And a smorgasbord of classic foods. I will say, she soaked her chicken in buttermilk for two days before deep frying it and it was amazing (of course, out back they have a deep turkey fryer attached to their grill. Nice.). It was a potluck, and some genius made a pot of spaghetti-Os in individual Dixie cups. Love it.

When Nancy offered to "make me a plate," she kindly brought me some booze punch and a cup of the O's, garnished in style with a tater tot.


The ice was formed in denture molds.
