I don;t know if Brother Mac came up with it or not, but somewhere along the line, maybe it was even in college, we started referring to particularly difficult bowel movements, ones you really have to work on, as "growlers."

On the other hand, "Growlr" is the name of a new social networking (i.e. hookup) app for bears (big/hairy gay guys). I just joined Growlr recently on the advice of a friend and have been felling very popular.
