The insurance quotes I got for the new Beemer sent me into a panic. I mean, obviously, my rates would go up over the '96 Saturn, but I didn't expect it to double. My quoted annual from AAA, with discounts, came to $1,660. E-surance was worse. Traveler's, my current company, wouldn't call me back(?).
Fifteen minutes on the phone with Geico: $581/6 months or $1,162/year. Nice. (That's almost a 30% savings.)
That, and my sales person Vicky was incredibly charming--and in a call center in Tucson and loves the video.
