You may have heard the news.
From the New York Times: "New York's highest court today turned back an attempt by gay and lesbian couples to win equal treatment under New York State's marriage law, saying that the state constitution 'does not compel recognition of marriages between members of the same sex.'"
Disheartening to say the least. But I am heartened by this quip from Leno on the Tonight Show:
"According to polls, 51 percent of Americans do not approve of gay marriage, but 70 percent ... do not approve of President Bush. So gay marriage is actually more popular than he is."
