Care package

I notified a senior manager today that my surgery was canceled and that I am now available should she need me this month. She expressed condolences for postponement and the cold and such, and included:

>I have not told the various people yet but I am on active duty starting April 17 at Camp Pendleton so I will miss various meetings—including the first one with you on Tuesday.

I replied:
>Good luck to you! Can I send you a care package?

>(Can you send me a marine?)

Quick with the reply, she wrote:
>I won’t need a care package because it is too short a time. I will send you a marine if you promise to “don’t ask, don’t tell” :)

(which would be an entirely different sort of care "package")


I think I'm getting a bit familiar with my Chairs.
