weekend roundup

In addition to the AEF County Fair and a variety of "I'm not wearing any pants" parties, this weekend San Francisco also hosted the Union Street Fair and the fabulously fabulous Black and White Ball.

James Hass was totally The Man this weekend, super-stylin' in his white and silver pieces, black and white pin striped velvet jacket, and no fewer than two smokin' hot babes on each arm.

Wowza.

The Jamez was kind enough to pick me up at the airport last night (granted, in my own car), and I was able to browse some of his photos via the iPhone on the ride back. And share mine with him at dinner. I think it is very cool that Dot Mac galleries have a special iPhone interface. Love that Apple integration.

The San Francisco Chronicle has a great spread of photos, and flipping through whom do I see but the lovely Susan Revah!

(AKA the Original Fag Hag.)

And what's even better, that's Jimbo's ear/head behind her. (You may remember Jimbo from such stories as Riding on the Metro and the Red Hot and Black Gala)

So sure, a fun time was had by all this weekend in the City, but I cannot tell you how much fun I had in Gainesville. Actually I can tell you, and will later tonight (if I am not waylaid by Kevin-- heh heh, I said laid.)

So big BIG shouts out to all of Jeff and Carolina's friends who made me feel so welcome into their fold, and with whom I had the most wonderful weekend.

Love to Laura (vying for position as best wing woman ever) and Clark, Tom and Kathy, Jimmy, Andy, Justin and Stacey, Steve, Katherine and the ones whose names I'm forgetting in the foggy aftermath.

You guys ROCK.

And Brendan--you are the most fun a guy can have with his clothes on, even if you're always taking yours off. (No complaints here.)

Aw! You're too kind!

Sure, they clean up real good, and they make my raging alcoholism look like a Shirley Temple, but I think they can best be described in two words. I wanted to save this bit for the long narrative, but I think IJS readers need this now rather than later. Wisdom should be shared.

Those two words are: "sausage quarters."

Classy.
