I saw this in the Westfield Center when Thomas and I went to see Much Ado.
Basically, it's a "mug people for their phones and mobile devices and immediately fence them here" machine. How the frak is this remotely responsible? Especially considering the increased and pervasive crimes of cell phone/iPhone thefts. Which are also increasingly violent.
Hey look, there is a completely sketchy guy trying to get cash for a Blackberry right now...
What are the safeguards here? Is this really something the Westfield should have right above the Muni entrance? Recycling electronics is a good idea. This does not.
