From the BBC:
A man has been questioned by police at LaGuardia airport in New York after smuggling a monkey onto a flight from Florida by hiding it under his hat.
My favorite part of this story (other than the fact it has been picked up by local papers from here to Pravda) is this line:
When passengers noticed the fist-sized primate on the flight, they asked the man "if he knew he had a monkey on him", Ms Russell said. That is so George Michael. You know, back in the day.
The BBC even has a video (see above link). Uncharacteristically, they have gone with an Entertainment Weekly sort of headline: Alert Over Flying Monkey.Next week: Surrender Dorothy.
Update: Joe.My.God had this to say on the incident: When asked how they could have missed the animal at Fort Lauderdale customs and again at the departure gate, a spokesman for the Transportation Security Agency said, "Basically, it's because we suck so very, very much. Seriously, you people would not believe how much we suck. Oh, and you'll gave to hand over that hair gel."
