Looking for greener grasses

Last week I applied for a pretty cool (well, to me) promotion, but doing so required tedious hours of redesigning and updating chunks of my personal Web site as well updating my resume and tailoring it for this position. And then crafting the cover letter.

I can write for work or play all day long, but for some reason, writing resumes and cover letters is so much harder to do. Introspection and self-assessment are always difficult I suppose, and there is some of that to the selling-yourself process of resume and letter writing.

Maybe the problem is in the process...
