Add that to the Southern and I am, apparently, a bit of a flirt. (Imagine an "aw shucks" expression here.)
That, and if love were oil I'd be about a quart low (credit to Lewis Grizzard). (My overused personal colorful metaphors are that (1) I couldn't get a date from a calendar; and (2) I couldn't get laid if I were an egg in a hen house.)
I was approached by a small and handsome man recently who started flirting and initiated a full court press. I was receptive, and then he seemed to lose interest as the challenge of the chase abated.
I received an e-mail invitation to a party he is throwing, and was discussing this/seeking advice via e-mail with mutual acquaintance SkotLand. I mentioned that this man has been very flirty with me, which I have encouraged.SkotLand replied: "You are a flirting machine/magnet! Encouraging is kind of an understatement from where I'm sitting. That is the charm we all call Wilson."
Hmmm.
So, basically, I think I am getting a reputation as an attention whore. But I think I'm okay with that. Casual affection is like "love lite."
Tastes great, but less fulfilling.
Update - Response from SkotLand:
I wouldn't call you "An Affection Whore," because that would involve paying you money. I can, however, live with "Affection Slutt." I gave you the extra consonant, cuz I can afford it.
