Will is hosting this enormous pig roast in August and now I'm invited.
From James' IM:

James has gotten really serious about the crossfit thing and is now basically built like Spider-man: slim, but nothing but muscle. James sent me this crossfit video clip.
This is basically what James would look like if he ever got out of baggy clothes. Of course, then he'd be a spandexed muscle-douche and I'd have to kick his ass to the Marina. As much as I can stare at this guy on a loop, it does not inspire me to crossfit myself, as the idea is that you push yourself until you're sick.
From a recent IM with James myself:

Basically Will is making his boys crossfit, then run a beer mile.
J: I'm going to puke.
Me: I'm going to watch.

Oh, C'MON! I look NOTHING like that guy. I'm quite small and undefined. I can't even do a muscle up.
Bejeezus.
yes well, I can't tell with all that fleece.
I'm just doing my part to pimp you out the the IJS readers.
(So shhhh.)
So many things to comment upon, so little space...
First off, I'm psyched that you're going to appear at Pig Roast III. It will be a grand occasion to meet you after a decade of knowing you virtually, and I've already sent an email to The Kerry Boys informing them that you would like them to accompany your washboard and spoons version of Whiskey In The Jar
Second, my stature is rapidly diminishing. CrossFit does that. Fear not; my ego is as large as ever, perhaps even larger.
The number C, The point of CrossFit is not "to push yourself until you're sick," although that is an added and pleasant bonus. CrossFit is all about functional fitness, and making your body work as a unit, so that you don't get hurt when you do something when your body is off balance, off center, etc. We will make a CrossFitter out of you yet...
Quatro, you can watch everyone puke in the beer mile, although we would very much prefer if you partook and represented the SFO. It's only four beers / one mile, and you've got two months and 13 days left to train. I would be willing to bet you could crack the top 300 times ever posted in the State of Connecticut.
