the bee in "subtle" sometimes stings

I have not been accused of being subtle. Or shy. (Despite the fact I am in fact quite shy, just about other things.) When I have every voiced concern that I like someone and I don't know if they like me, I have been met with chortles or outright guffaws. "Yeah Hardcastle, if you like them, trust me, they know."

That's me. The shrieking violet.

But empirical data would seem to support an alternate conclusion. Three times in as many months: I've asked someone out on a date only to be the only one at dinner to know that.

Regardless: So. Much. Fun.
