mapmaker, mapmaker, make me a map

I love maps. I love old maps and historical maps and context maps and information maps. For my birthday a couple of years ago, Shilpa and PeeDee gave me the just wonderful hardbound volume called Infinite City: A San Francisco Atlas, which is just a complete cartogragasm.

And so I was also geographically geek excited to see this get cross posted last week: an interactive map of the history of San Francisco place names.

I love SF, and always love getting to know more about her.
