For being in the air so long, it was a mundane Monday.

It was a looong way home Monday. My flight was delayed at BNA for over two hours, then the long flight, then without a car to collect me I took a bus, and BART, and another bust to get home. The commute from OAK was over an hour. Which actually may have been about the same considering bridge traffic at rush hour. It wa pushing 90 across the Bay, 75 over the hill, and maybe 45 degrees from my place westward as the fog smothered the Sunset.

I sort of unpacked, but mainly just vegged. Tired from the weekend’s revelry, and the stress of dealing with a stolen car, I just wanted to sit down. I had planned to go for a walk and maybe get dinner in the Castro if just to wrap myself in the City again, and to be around my people. I didn’t get truly motivated and appropriately attired until 8:30, and I remembered that MUNI service now stops at 10:00 so I would have to take a cab back if I went a-wandering. Ultimately, I updated my iTunes, plugged in the Nano, and went for a walk in the cold and windy fog down Haight Street. Then home again with San Franciscan comfort food—shanghai noodles from the Citrus Club. Yum.

I go walking, after midnight, out in the starlight, just the way we used to do...
