Kids react to a rotary phone.
I remember years ago when one of Carrington's children, clicking the cordless phone to off, asked why she said to "hang up" the phone. Hang it up where?
Also of note, kids no longer know what a dial tone or a busy signal sound like. I would hope that there are enough land lines that kids clue in to what a dial tone is. But yes, the busy signal is now but extinct.
