Laughing at yourself

I have a kooky family whom I love very much. And I may be the least silly among them, which should scare you a little. I learned early on that I had to be able to laugh at myself. They story I tell, which isn't true, is that Mom said that I had better to learn to laugh at myself because the rest of them were going to anyway.

I think being able to make fun of yourself shows a strength of character, a lack of arrogance, and a damn fine sense of humor.

And this is why I now have such new respect for Lindsay. Pretty awesome.
