Bulletin: Stupid Women Still Cry "WITCH!"

Not only were the Harry Potter books the most challenged books this year (books wingnuts sought to ban from school and public libraries), they were also voted the favorite banned books during the ALA's Banned Book Month (September).

And the "are you kidding me?!" continues.

Here is yet another story of someone who should be reading books, trying to burn them. This time, a mother is challenging that not only do the Harry Potter books teach, preach, and encourage witchcraft; to continue to allow children to read Harry Potter books will lead to more school shootings.

Furthermore, she advocates, "That [school shootings] would not happen if students instead read the Bible."

Riiiight...because the Bible is so devoid of violence and magic. Apparently, it's not so much the "being nailed alive to a cross of wood" that killed the kind carpenter, it was the tetanus from the nails that finally did him in.

Okay readers, show of hands: How many of you are surprised this is taking place, and being taken seriously, in Georgia?

Honey, and I say this as a Tennessean, those Georgia stereotypes exist for a reason.
